
Living Word Mission (LIWOM) implements several projects through partnership with stakeholders. As a result, we have amassed several achievments. Below, you’ll find our achievements with particular focus to the core ones.
HIV/AIDS & Wellbeing
- 30,000 people tested under the Global Fund Prevention of Mother-To-Child Transmission (PMTCT)
- 28,500 persons tested in 5 private health facilities
- 10,000 persons tested in Adeoyo Hospital , Yemetu, Ibadan
- 20,800 via community service
- 25,000 tested via collaboration with 31 Health Facilities in Alimosho LGA, Lagos (PITC
- Over 211,800 clients tested
- Collaboration with Community Medicine and Primary Care Unit Departments of UCH to provide healthcare through community medicine/clinical outreaches
Orphan & Vulnerable Children (OVC)
- Collaboration with SUBEB to provide school waivers to over 1700 children.
- Provision of educational materials to over 2500 beneficiaries.
- Collaboration with health facilities to provide subsidized health care to over 5000 beneficiaries & 3000 households
- Collaboration with UCH to provide free health care services to over 150 children in oprhanage
- Development of IEC materials for service standards, prevention of abuse, and improved care
- Provision of start-up grants to over 1000 caregivers
- Collaboration with NPoPC to provide Birth Certificates to over 7000 children
- Reintegration into family of over 120 children
- Repatriation of over 100 children via collaboration with the Ministry, Law Enforcement Agencies and Child Rights Organizations
- Skills acquisition training for over 3000 beneficiaries
- Provision of food support to over 3800 households
Capacity Building/ Community Programs
- Provision of block grants to 15 schools
- Re-painting of Community of Community Health Department Facility, General Hospital, Alimosho LGA
- Provision of computer set to LACA for data storage and management
- Trained and empowered 10 coordinators of OVC CSOs and over 60 community volunteers for OVC response in Ibarapa LGA, Oyo State
- Capacity building and Organizational Development Training for 30 CSOs
- Better parenting training to over 2500 caregivers & care providers, and over 200 trainers
- Trained over 350 CSOs on data storage and management using the National OVC Management Information System
